‘A Beautiful Revolution’ under scrutiny

ifilm critically examines recently aired series – part 7.

As the finale of ifilm series ‘A Beautiful Revolution’ was recently aired, we’ll be providing our audience with an analytic account of the events in the landmark events in the story, in a few parts.

In the previous articles, we talked of the symbolism depicted in the series, with ‘Beautiful’ representing the territory (Iran), and Able and Cane, the sons of Adam, respectively represented by Hamed and Jaber. Here’s more on the series.

Torture

Depicting the torture scenes, addressing what actually happened under the pre-revolution monarch in Iran, with Jaber and Hamed (Cain and Abel) is among the most striking parts of the series.

Critics have praised the screenwriter and the director for chronicling a narrative of pain, that touched the nation deep, not long ago. One even ironically noted that when we nosebleed, even the mayor is informed; just to remember the torture the sons of the nation underwent, in silence, loneliness and solitude, all simply for their call for justice.

There’s just a difference between the real Abel and Cain story. This time, same as the past 4 decades post revolution, the Able of the revolution stories, triumphs, despite pain and agony, and the deplorable Cain is defeated.

We’ll continue with how Cain primarily deceives Abel, in the upcoming installment of this article.

Visit us back here for another part of the analytic review of the series storyline and events.
